Barbados Tridents knocked out of CPL 2016

Barbados Tridents has been knocked out of CPL 2016 after 6 wickets defeat against Guyana Amazon Warriors at the Central Broward Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida.

After winning the toss, Tridents scored a decent total of 158/6 with skipper Kieron Pollard being the top-scorer of the side – 47 runs. But this total was not enough for the Warriors as they chased down the target comprehensively with the loss of just 4 wickets. Jason Mohammed was the ‘Man of the Match’ award winner for his scintillating innings of 57 not-out.

After the win the Warriors overtook the Tallawahs at the top of the points table while simultaneously ended the Tridents’ hopes for qualification.

The Warriors take their place at the top of the table, at least until tomorrow, but for the Tridents the tournament is over for another year.
